Here's the teaser video we'll show on September 2 and 9. Enjoy...
Thomas L. Friedman: The World Is Flat 3.0: A Brief History of the Twenty-first Century
Friedman does a great job of describing the advance of technology and its impact on economic globalization. Sounds dry, but it's fascinating if you have any interest in the big picture. I observed a fair amount of this happening during my 11 years in the software biz, especially the rise of India.
David Kinnaman: unChristian: What a New Generation Really Thinks about Christianity... and Why It Matters
This book documents a three year study about how "outsiders" view Christianity. If you grew up in the church, you've got to read this. If you didn't, it will tell you what you already knew.

I just moved to Stillwater, and I was looking at the Sunnybrook website because I was thinking of attending. I am afraid I do not understand the purpose and appropriateness of the first video. How does a video showing lewd movement and gestures further the mission of a Christian church? Perhaps there is supposed to be some message from this that I am missing. I would really appreciate some insight. Thank you.

Dawn, I assure you that we do not produce videos with anything lewd as this would be an utterly absurd thing to do. I assume the video you are referring to is the promo video for the Nehemiah series because it's the only one on my blog. We sometimes refer to these types of videos as "teasers" because they're intended to pique interest in the next sermon series. We show them on Sunday morning 1 or 2 weeks before a new series starts.
I recommend you click the link and view the video. It consists of ancient ruins in the holy land that suggest the broken down walls Nehemiah repaired.
And thanks for asking the question. It's far better than making a wrong assumption!

Hi, Steve. Thanks for answering. I had watched the teaser video and thought it was really neat. After you watch the video, it goes to "Replay" and other videos appear underneath. As you roll the pointer over the videos, titles show. One titled "Nehemiah 8:10" is the video I was asking about.

Dawn, Thanks for the clarification. The "Replay" list is generated by YouTube and has nothing directly to do with me or Sunnybrook. I have no idea about the Nehemiah 8:10 video - the YouTube site obviously listed it because of the title. I regret that my blog inadvertently led you to something questionable.
